Assignment #3: Data Update 2

The most interesting thing of my  Small Silce  is there are two period of desktop computer price change from 2010 to 2017. From 2010 to 2014, the desktop computer price fell a lot. However, from 2015 to 2017, the price of the both household's and businesses or governments' computer  increase a little bit. Original Dataset There are a  Relative Report  of my Dataset, it tell us the improvement of productivity caused the computer price fell.

Assignment #2: Data Update 1

Dataset Link I will use this dataset of the price change of different types of computers in Canada from Statistic Canada as my Final Data Report. This dataset includes four major types of computers, they are desktop and similar computers, laptop computers, tablet computers, and Servers. This dataset begins with January of 2010 and end in April of 2017. This monthly dataset contains lots of information such as the purposes of computers  using  which are not shown in its basic table on the website. It uses the index as its data so we can easily see how it changes because it ’ s not too large. This dataset can answer some questions like is the overall computer price falling? Which platform prices have fallen most in the past few years? From its Excel table, we can also know for what purposes that prices fell most, for business and governments or household? We may also give an answer to which type of computer are worth to buy in the future through predicting their price a...

Data Visualization Link This is a good line chart that shows Quebec's birthrate from 1900 to now.  This chart  clearly displays the downward trend of Quebec ’ s newborn. F rom this line chart, we can learn that the birthrate of Quebec had a sharp increase near 1940 during the World War II. B efore 1960 Quebec decreased its newborn again. F rom this chart, we can decode that birthrate was decreasing when Canada developing its economy from 1900 to now. H owever, this line chart has some problems that cause people confuse. F irstly, this chart does not start at zero percent , it starts at ten percent. T his problem can cause some misunderstanding because it seems that birthrate decrease from high to nearly zero. H owever, it actually just decreases 30 percent from 40 percent to 10 percent during more than 100 years. Next, the data of this chart was not clear enough or a little fu zzy, it ’ s unable to read the number of each point clearly in this line, we can only gue...
